Biography
Michelle MacKenzie worked as a graphic artist and fashion illustrator early in her
career in the 70's and 80's, making the decision to return to fine art when her son
was born in 1991. She studied watercolor with Northwest watercolor artists,
Susan McKinnon, Chris Williams, Ted Vaught, and Muriel Pallay.
Michelle has been an active member of Oregon Watercolor Society, Watercolor
Art Society of Houston, and Visual Arts Alliance of Houston. In 2000
Michelle founded M. Mackenzie Fine Art gallery in Spring, Texas. She
relocated to Northern California, and in 2005 founded MacKenzie's Gallery of
American Style, located in Folsom, California.
In 2007, after the closing of the Folsom Gallery, Michelle returned to painting.
She currently shows her artwork at various Second Saturday locations and area
art shows.
